Sway Payment And Refund Terms
How request, tip, boost, capture, void, and refund outcomes are represented in Sway.
Sway must only describe payment behavior that is actually implemented by the backend and processor configuration.
- request, tip, and boost submissions create payment-related records tied to the live room and request lifecycle
- Stripe processes incoming customer card payments only; it does not choose or deliver a performer cash-out
- the customer checkout total includes the applicable Sway platform fee, including Sway’s fixed $1 creator-direct transaction fee, while the performer’s stated request, tip, or boost amount is credited to performer earnings
- a denied or unresolved request may be voided or refunded according to the implemented lifecycle
- payment success is not final until backend confirmation is recorded
- processor timelines, disputes, and refunds may affect final settlement timing
If a patron needs help with a charge or refund outcome, use Sway support.
